Selling a basically new, unused, uncarried Steingass Combat Utility with a double guard and unsharpened swedge. Blade is 5.5 inches long in s35vn. Comes with sheath. It's been sitting on my desk since I got it in March. Has not been carried or used to cut anything. Real life hit all at once since I got the knife from Tim Steingass in March of 2015. I got engaged, my dad got diagnosed with glaucoma and needed irodotomy surgery in both eyes, and may have colon cancer. I take him to colonoscopy in early June and to the eye surgeon again this Wednesday. I've taken him to eye docs every other week for the past 2 months. The colonoscopy is something I'm dreading because of blood found in his stool. Everyone, please take your vision problems seriously, and the same for your colon if you're of that age.
This is the knife I was most hyped about for many months, one that I had been in talks with Tim for over a year. You're getting a great deal on this knife, and Tim has a no nonsense warranty, too. I would have posted it for sale much sooner, but everything that's happened lately has just made it hard for me to spend time on the boards.
5.5 inch blade length. 1 9/16 inches wide at the widest point just in front of the choil.
3/16 inches thick.
9.5 inches overall length.
Black micarta handles.
This is a lot of knife for a compact package.
EDIT: There are red liners behind the black micarta. The camera didn't pick them up.
I will let it go shipped and insured for $330. Lowered to $320 shipped. Continental United States only. I paid $450 straight from Tim in March. Paypal only.
NOTE: Those are not scratches in front of the Steingass logo. That is light reflecting off the fine brushed finish that he puts on all his knives that are not exhibition grade. The brushed finish is uniform throughout the entire blade and not deep at all. It's just the light reflecting.
NOTE: That is a piece of dirt behind the the pin at the rear of the handle. I didn't notice until after I took the picture.
NOTE: Again, just a piece of dirt behind the pin of the rear of the handle, which I didn't notice while taking pictures.
5/25/15. Just uploaded more pictures. Click to enlarge.
