The beam pattern is flawless, no rings or artifacts and a nice bright hotspot. It has a nice balance between throw and flood.

It is heat sinked nicely with some copper tape to help move the heat from the drop in to the bezel, but would get hot if run for an extended person of time on high while not in your hand. All nailbender drop ins do really well on all levels because they are thermally potted and not overdriven.
