This Surefire EW-05 "Echo" was bought new by me about 15 years ago. Since then it has cut one sheet of paper and one apple. This knife is too cool not to use... So, it needs to find a new home.
4.5in blade of CPM 3V features a unique asymmetric grind (kind of like a Japanese kitchen knife). The primary grind is symmetrical, but the secondary and tertiary grinds are single-sided. See the pics...
The green micarta scales have deep side scallops. Strong jimping front and rear. Factory lanyard with pewter skull. Original plastic sheath has a Tek-lok clasp with a built-in DMT diamond sharpening stone.
At just 5.1oz, this knife is fabulously light but capable. Dang, I love it!
Package includes the knife, lanyard, sheath, factory box with a barcode sticker that says "Model EW-05", plus the original brochure and sharpening instructions.
Never sharpened or stropped. The only imperfection is a slight drag mark on the back side of the coating from cutting through that apple core (see pic #2).
SOLD! (was $360). I'll cover the Paypal fees plus insured shipping by USPS Priority Mail. Not looking for any trades.
