SOLD: Survive 4.7 Cruforge V - Modified
Condition: New, Never Used or Sharpened
OAL: 9.75"
Blade: 4.75" long; .175" thick; Cruforge V Steel; FDE Cerakote finish
Modifications: Added 1/8" thick olive drab canvas micarta liners and 1/32" thick black G10 liners to the brown canvas micarta scales; removed bolts and replaced with brass tubes (olive resin used to fill in around tubes after gluing); Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish removed from blade spine and belly (necessary to modify handle). (There is a slight surface scuff on the blade finish near the cutting edge (visible in first photo). This occurred during the handle mod and is not at all deep into the finish.
Ultimately, the goal was to make the handle thicker, and that goal was well realized. The handle is now 15/16" thick at palm swell and feels exceptionally comfortable. However, I have decided to pass this knife on, since I am just not accustomed to using knives with coated blades. This knife now has an exceptional feel and would be a fabulous keeper for Survive Knives fans!
