For sale is a factory first Survive! 5.1 in 3V w/ ferro notch. Never used or carried. Comes with a sage wood gear brown leather belt loop. Comes with bit and original belt loop. Asking $old shipped USA only.

Personally, I can't tell the difference between the S!K 3v and D3v heat treats on the 2nd gens. Granted, I have only used mine for batoning wood and basic camp chores. Haven't tried cutting cinder blocks in half yet.
I think it just helps with better edge retention,flexability and corrosion resistances, maybe the Rockwell hardness. Just something that makes the blades a little better.
