I would like to sell my Swamp Rat Battle Guard. This knife was a special offer from the Swamp Rat Custom Shop on January 31, 2006. It is the same size as a Battle Rat with a custom guard attached. The blade is made of SR-101 steel. Blade length is 9 1/4", blade thickness is 1/4", and overall length is 14 1/2". It comes with a nice black leather dangler sheath. The sheath is not marked so I don't know who made it. The blade has a black crinkle coat finish and the grips are brown. The knife has a black lanyard attached.
The knife and sheath are lightly used in very good condition. There are some scuffs on the blade coating from use and sheath carry but the coating is intact and not worn through. There is a coating ding on the front part of the guard. The grips look mint.
This knife has had a convex edge applied to it. According to the previous owner, the edge was placed on it by a knifemaker using a blade grinder with a 320 grit belt and finished on a smooth leather belt. This knife is VERY SCARY SHARP.
SOLD shipped TYD with insurance. I would prefer PayPal (I will pay fees). The only other form of payment I will accept is a US Postal Service Money Order.
