You, sir, are, in fact, describing my entire life. I've been literally surrounded by Chris's, there were five Chris's in my Kindergarten class. Talk about confusing every time the teacher would say, "Chris", we'd all look at each other confused...

Yep. Me too. My dad is Chris too so I've always been Topher (back end of Christopher) but we had 5 or 6 Chris/Kris in our small neighborhood of maybe 30 homes.
