Black linen micarta topped with natural and Westinghouse ivory micarta stripes surrounding a bullocks shield… definitely one of Todd’s coolest designs, in my opinion! The fit and finish of this knife is fantastic. The main scale, stripes and shield look and feel like one piece.

This is #1188 which I believe Todd made in early 2015. The knife is 3 ¾” closed and the blade is 2 7/8” long. I don’t want to mislead anyone on the blade steel, but I think that this is ATS-34 based on an old TA Davison thread I remember seeing, although I don’t have any documentation and of course I can no longer find the thread. The blade is perfectly centered with smooth pull, solid half stop and a proper snap shut. The knife is still hair shaving sharp and appears to carry the edge that Todd put on it.

I purchased this knife second-hand, and as far as I can tell the original owner didn’t use it (or used it as carefully as me). I had a sheath made for it (included with knife) and carried it sparingly in the sheath and maybe used it to open a letter or two. I can see some micro-swirls in the stainless bolsters and shield in focused, direct light. I was also able to highlight scuffs at the end of the spring in a very focused light.

I know that this will be the knife I regret selling, but I just don’t carry slipjoints any longer and this knife is too cool to keep in my drawer. Hopefully someone will love this knife as much as I do AND use it a lot more than I did.

$595 shipped to CONUS.
