Finished , available , ready to ship . Tony has hand ground these blades & put this project together , it is super nice of him to donate his time , labor & materials . The proceeds of the sale of this knife will go to the NKCA in Tennessee. The scales on this one are good looking ironwood, from the Baja region of Mexico , very unique color on this one. This knife is the same size as a Bose 3-5/8" swayback jack slip joint, but the blade is 1/8" longer
OAL of this knife is 6-3/8" ,the blade is 2-3/4" from the tip to the handle scales. The cutting edge is 2.5". The steel is 3/32" thick ATS-34 ss. Hand ground & finished out by Tony with his "as ground" finish on the blade ,and a great drawn swedge. These are razor thin slicers & this knife will make a great desk, kitchen parer, wood carver,or just a perfect small utility .
I polish these handles out by hand to at least 1000 grit. A nice radius all the way around,a gentle taper from back to front. 3/32" ss pins are peened before finishing out the handle.just like olden times.
The sheaths were done by Larry Parsons from Mustang OK. Larry uses the finest saddle grade leather that he hand selects. The leather is then hand split, just like his saddles. Awesome stuff here.
So because of Tony, you can get a Bose knife for $500. (suggested minimum donation) and help out our club at the same time. If you are not a member of the NKCA ,please consider joining.
This is Sold Thank You All , -Vince
