Exquisite knives - DORGALES Style Folders - from Sardinian maker Davide Steri.

IN THIS THREAD I AM ONLY SELLING 1 of these 2. Whichever one does not sell will be my keeper. They are both excellent examples of Davide's stellar knife making.

These were all made custom at my request. They are just perfect examples but I am paring down and keeping 1 from this maker.

OPTION # 1- 10.5 cm DORGALESE

ASKING $ 375.00 delivered

• CONDITION: EXCELLENT - I have used this one a bit more and it has been sharpened. Price reflects this light use.
This knife is sized to fit in the coin pocket. Though I include an after market leather pocket clip slip. Davide said that he could not make this knife any smaller without losing the elegance of the Dorgalese style. It is the smallest he has ever made.

• BLADE - 3 layer San-Mai Xc75-N-C100
• Blade Length - 8 cm - 3.13"
• Total length 18cm - 7"
INCLUDES: Concept Sketch by Davide and COA signed by Davide, 2021.

ALL PHOTOS TAKEN 10/7 - More can be provided upon request.

AGAIN - Only 1 of these is for sale. 1st to go is the last to go.

Prices are all inclusive with delivery to US addresses. To discuss other destination please PM or EMAIL HERE.

PAYMENT by PP - you don't need a PP account I can email you an invoice that can be paid with a credit card - double buyer protection.

If you can't abide doing business through PP, I can accept a personal check. If we know each other or you have a plethora of positive feedback - easy enough. If we have no history please expect your check to need to clear before I ship the knife. Cash sent priority mail works good too and speeds things along. Asking price without PP is $10.00 less.

• FOR any questions or to request more photos PM or EMAIL HERE.

• Please say in thread WHICH one of these 2 you wish to purchase and follow up with PM.

Thank you.

Posting this info in reply to a question received by PM.

Yes they are slip joints friction folders. No back spring, nohalf stops. The tension is entirely controlled by the pin. That is the tradition. I have set the pins to my liking. The bigger one is a 5 pull, easy enough to add more tension. The smaller one is pushing more to a 6/7.

I have only set these each, once, since I purchased them a year ago. Davide Steri and Gigi Sechi both said it was normal for new knives to loosen. It's just a matter of tapping on the pin with a padded ball peen or other small head hammer.

Tough crowd huh  No interest in these exceptionally fine custom traditional blades from Sardinia???

A bit of a priced reduction for the 10.5 cm model. See post above. Not much room to do less after S&H and payment fees.

Talk to me - PM or EMAIL HERE. Please, if you email, ID yourself with your BD user name.

Thanks.

I love the detail & complexity of the blades & scales, very attractive set

what materials are used for the scales? it looks like the bolsters are aged bronze?

Thanks - yes these are very fine examples of the tradition. The scales are stabilized rams horn and the bolsters on each are nickel silver darkened by Davide - though the NS would darken naturally on its own
