Got a nice forged axe to pass along. Just full disclosure it was carried twice and used once but I polished the edge back, oiled-waxed the handle and sheath. You’d never know it had cut anything if I hadn’t told you.
Head is forged from 1045 with a hardened poll then has a W1 tool steel cutting bit. Poll is about 54rc and cutting edge is about 57-58rc.
Cutting edge is about 3 1/2” wide. Head weighs about 1 3/4 pounds.
Handle is hickory, oiled and waxed. 22” long.Sheath is 8oz leather-with red stitch. Asking $159 NOW $139 shipped priority. I can take google pay and venmo. Money orders and checks. Thanks
