This is hammer poll hawk made from a wrought iron. It has a 1065 cutting bit and the hammer poll was steeled. Meaning a piece of 1045 steel was "jump" forge welded on the poll. The hammer and bit were hardened and tempered. Some simple filework and etched to show pattern. A good straight grain hickory haft burned and stained. Sinew wrapped with some brass tacks. The head is 7 1/2" long voerall with a 2 5/8" cutting edge. A good hawk that looks decent enough to hang on the all but can still be used no problem. We are asking ****sold thanks** (priority with conforamtion). Paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net or we also take money orders..Thanks for looking :D
**Jump Welds are a forge weld where two seperate pieces are brought to welding heat and then put into place and forge welded together***
