This is kind of a "norse" pattern hawk. it has the deep belly, upswept spine and wide cutting edge . Forged from wrought iron with a 1075 bit. Edge hardened and tempered. The cutting edge is 3 5/8" wide and the head is 5 3/8" long. Etched to show the wroughts pattern. The haft is curly maple stained with Aqua Fortis and finished with boiled linseed oil.
