Hi Folks
Here is the last of three Bushmasters just finished up. It'll be a while before I do more of these.
The 'Bushmaster', a sturdy outdoor companion incorporating aspects of a bushcraft knife; robust construction, a comfortable handle with a full, tapered tang, a sharp spine for use with ferro rods, a spear point in line with the handle centre and a true convex scandi grind that has been hand finished. Here is the latest iteration of an older BALETA Handmade design with a few tweaks to bring it up to date and make it an even better Bushcraft tool.
This version is crafted in 26C3 carbon steel with a beautiful Hamon and an 'Old World' distressed finish on the flats. The blade has been differentially hardened. Below the Hamon line (the cutting edge) is about 63 HRC while above it is a lot softer - together with the scandi grind, this blade will be tough enough for any Bushcraft task. It has gorgeous and tough as nails Arizona Desert Ironwood scales, fibre liners, a Loveless bolt up front, lanyard tube with mosaic at the rear and comes in a custom fitted leather sheath with a dangler.
- Blade thickness: 4mm (0.16")
- Blade length: 120mm (4.7")
- Overall length: 235mm (9.25")
- Handle material: Oiled Arizona Desert Ironwood with vulcanized fibre liners
- Fittings: Loveless bolt with brass pins and mosaic lanyard tube
- Weight without sheath: 208g (7.3oz)
- Weight with sheath: 320g (11.3oz)
- Full, tapered tang with sharp 90 degree spine. Comes with a custom fitted sheath with dangler as seen.
€ SOLD
