Hi Folks
It's been a while since I posted anything new here... hopefully you'll like the two variants on this new design. It's taken me since Jan to get these finished to where I want them
Introducing the 'Gaea' - a large harpoon clip hunting knife (new design for 2020). This one features a hidden tang with a handle in beautifully figured Maple burl. The Maple has been stabilized - a process where the wood is impregnated with resin making it stronger, weather resistant and less prone to cracking or warping. The steel is Böhler K110 carbon steel - a high grade version of the classic D2 knife steel. It has been acid etched, stained and given a stonewash patina. A rounded brass finger guard sits proud of the handle compliments the curvaceous handle. A secure clip-close sheath will give you piece of mind when carrying it in the field. This is something a little different and will certaily stand out from the crowd on your next hunting trip.
