Hi Folks
It's been more than a year since I've done one of these little Bird and Trout knives. Here is the first of two... the fancy one first...
The 'Jause' Bird and Trout' - long, slim and elegant. A classic Bird and Trout design that also lends itself perfectly to the Austrian tradition of Jause - a snack of cold cuts that is normally served outside. The slender blade is also perfect for use as a 'Jagdnicker'.
Crafted in stainless steel damascus with a VG10 core on the cutting edge. The construction of the JBT is full tang with filework on the spine. The handle is stabilized Maple Burl behind a bolster of stabilized Hornbeam. Fiber liners, a mosaic pin and a custom fitted leather sheath compliment this sharp little field companion.
