Hi Folks
One I finished up a few weeks ago...
Named after one of the last great ivory hunters out of Mozambique - Wally Johnson.
Crafted in Bohler M390 stainless - a high-end 'super' steel that gives one of the best edge holding capabilities out there. A gentle recurve leading to a broad, dropped point hunting blade - this blade not only looks great but will perform too!
A rounded brass finger guard and a full, tapered tang handle that has been shaped from stabilized and dyed Maple Burl. Stabilization is a process whereby the wood is impregnated with resin. This makes it nearly impervious to warping or cracking and is also weather resistent. Tough and beautiful!
A finely detailed mosaic pin in brass and nickel silver complements the fine swirls of the Maple burl and a composite brass and stainless steel lanyard tube ensures that this tool is practical for the field.
This is something a little special and will certainly stand out from the crowd on your next hunting trip.
