SOLD TSPROF Kadet Sharpening System + six Venev Orion stones + two leather strops + set of unused polishing tapes + MORE
I’m going to try to keep this short, but there’s a lot to say here, and a whole lot of kit to offer. First of all, of the three different sharpening systems I’ve tried, with the others being KME and an older model Wicked Edge, the TSPROF Kadet is my favorite by a long margin. It’s very easy for someone with limited innate sharpening skills and not a lot of patience to get outstandingly sharp edges on knives. I’ve never even made it to the polishing tapes (all are unused)….the sequence of six Orion Venev stones (80, 150, 240, 400, 800, 1200 grit) and stropping with 1.0µ and 0.5 µ have put a scary sharp edge and even a close to mirror polish on the seven knives I used this TSPROF on. The stones, strops, and glass blanks are the EdgePro form factor and interchangeable with Edge Pro. That said, the Kadet system can all accommodate the KME form factor stones.
Those six knives were all the action this sharpening system, stones, and strops have seen. Everything here is in tip-top condition and ready to put a no-muss, no-fuss razor sharp edge on your knives. Here’s the whole package and all the extras….all of which I bought from Gritomatic in December 2021:
I'm asking $650 for everything mentioned here. All told, this entire package cost me just over $900. If the whole package doesn’t sell by Sunday night, I might split off the components and price 'em separately, but I’m not going to do that for now. That said, I’d consider reasonable offers for separate Kadet sharpener, Venev Orion stones, strops/emulsion, and polishing tapes/blank.
SOLD DROP Knife/EDC Display Case + Storage Drawer SOLD
I bought the display case in July 2020 and added the modular stacking storage drawer in April 2021. Both are from limited run offerings at drop.com. This is in excellent shape, and the only noticeable signs of wear I can see are two very small nicks in the leatherette on the lid, near the lower right corner. I cut some foam inserts to add in two areas of the case, and I think it’s a good addition.
I’m asking $120 for the DROP knife/EDC display case + storage drawer. I think I paid $175 new for the display case + the extra storage drawer. In the maddening way of drop.com, this item has gone out of stock, and if the past is any indication, it’ll probably be some time before it is sold again in a “drop”. Payment by PayPal G&S, with shipping by USPS Priority (sorry, CONUS only). I’ll deduct 4% for payment by PayPal F&F.
P.S. I flinched a little bit in adding those last two photos that show the last iteration of my knives and watches collection before I cut down pretty dramatically. Mmmmm, that was a box of goodness….(sniffle)
