Hi Friends!
I want to show a recent work.
It is a Bowie Knife, forged in 4-bar Turkish damascus. Desert Iron Wood octaved Handle with a stainless pin. Spacer with lime work and 24k gold inlay. Buffalo leather sheath.

Steel: 1070+15n20
Blade length: 9inch(23cm)
Thickness: 5,9mm
Maximum width: 39mm
Weight: 388gr

Wow! The pattern is awesome! This is a beautiful piece of artistic craftsmanship! The ironwood handle and 24k gold inlay, accents the finger guard, while the pommel stands out in beautiful contrast to the grains of the ironwood! Great job!

Judging from the photos it appears unsharpened - is that correct? Forgive my ignorance for I’m new to the custom world, but perhaps a new custom blade is supposed to be unsharpened?

correct, the knife is without sharpening in the photos. I usually sharpen it just before shipping. the piece will go to the customer fully sharpened.
 
Pursuant to my last post, do most of you who collect such blades sharpen to a convex edge? If so what is the reason?
The way of sharpening will vary according to the use of the knife. a convex sharpening has more strength for heavy use than this bowie case. on a kitchen knife, in which you need to make more precise cuts, this sharpening is not the most suitable.
