Greetings everyone, Here’s an upswept little Bird n Trout in NitroV ready for your next walkabout. Hope you like it!
Dimensions - 1/8” x 8 15/16” OAL and 1 1/4” tall (blade height 15/16”) – 4 5/8” from tip to scales – Hand sanded to 2000 grit for a reflective finish. Edge before sharpening was .01” or so and it balances just behind the front Wenge piece.
The scales are Wenge and Padauk. The handle is sanded to1200 grit and affixed with 5/32” brass pins. There is a slight (<1/32”) misalignment on the top mating surfaces I’ve tried to capture in the pictures. It’s finished with multiple coats of Danish oil then buffed with carnauba wax. The handle feels great in my average size hand. Sheath is a snug fit with great retention yet easy to deploy.
