Here's a 2012 Blade Forums Trapper you won't need to worry about that first use with.
I got this guy here on the Ex a while back & decided that since I was going to carry it,I'd lower the blades a bit by sanding the kicks down a smidgen.
I got 'em lowered a bit,but of course after sanding the kicks the springs were a little proud so I sanded them down to where they are flush with the frame when the blades are closed.
They are a tad proud with the blades open,but nothing drastic.(see the pics & judge for yourself)I'd rather have 'em a bit proud than humble.
I can still push the blades down into the frame so there is plenty of clearance under 'em so they don't bottom out.
I have sharpened & carried the knife,but the blades are in good shape with just some very fine scratches on the wharnie.
Both blades are centered with pulls at about 6 or 7 I'd say with good walk & talk and no wobble.
The covers are in good shape also with no dings,cracks or chips.
Tube & waxed paper included.
