Sold: For Sale is a Used Nathan Carothers Field Knife in A2. Designed by Lorien and made by Nathan the Machinist aka Nathan Carothers with his HT'd A2 steel. One of the First Runs I believe. It has the brown micarta scales and pancake kydex with large Tek-Lok. The work that went into making these knives is amazing. Nathan is a machining genius
Ive used it in the kitchen to cut things- mostly tomatoes and bread. It has the original edge and has been stropped. As indicated in the original ad it is not stainless and theres 3 tiny spots on the left side of the blade in front of the handle. I rubbed it down with a Qtip to see what they were so theres a shiny spot there. I tried to capture it in the photos. Its never been carried and the sheath is like new. Thats why Im selling it- I never carry it.
Model For Sale is like the one in the first picture, middle knife:

A2 has better corrosion resistance than something like 1095 or O1, but it is not stainless.
Specs:
A2, tested 61-62 HRC, .188 thick at ricasso
Total length 9.75
Blade length 4.625
Weight 8.0 oz
Grippy 3D machined scales in micarta or G10
Black oxide treated 18-8 stainless steel fasteners
David Brown Kydex sheaths with TecLoc are custom made for these knives and are well designed and well made.
