A little background: Prior to becoming a knife maker, Al Mar was with US Army Special Forces in Vietnam. That experience led to the development of this knife - an all weather folder that is so thin and light that it could be sewn into the hem of a BDU jacket. The theory behind this was that if for some reason a man was taken captive or otherwise lost all of his gear, at least he would have a knife to assist in SERE.
These are very cool. I would not sell this knife except that I have another one(that I use) and this knife has been a safe queen all of these years. After 25 years, if I haven't used it, I probably won't. However, if it sits here all weekend, I'll probably hang onto it. I am starting to miss her already....
Early ATS34 blade is in excellent - nearly new condition. I'm the original owner - I purchased it new in the early '90's.
Ships with nylon belt pouch. No box. SPF $99.95 Firm Shipped CONUS. Price includes PP fees. Buyer must be 18 years of age and is responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws/regulations.
In the left hand view, the apparent mark next to Al Mar's "chop" is not actually a mark on the blade - it is an oil smudge picked up by the camera.
The first "I'll take it" followed by a PM or email to arrange payment gets it. Thanks for looking!
