Up for sale is an original, very fine Cold Steel Trail Master Bowie with a black Carbon V steel blade, Model No. 16CB, with its original leather sheath, packaging and original box. Cold Steel introduced the Trail Master model in 1987-1988, originally offering a version in stainless steel and this version in Carbon V steel, now discontinued for many years.
The knife measures about 14-½ inches in overall length, with a black oxide coated blade 9-½ inches long and about 5/16 of an inch thick at the spine. It has a black steel guard, a black Kraton handle approximately 5 inches long and weighs approximately 17-½ ounces. The ricasso is marked “Trail Master®” on one side and “Cold Steel® USA” on the other side (see photos). The knife is still in its cardboard sleeve, still has the red label on the handle and still has the factory grease on the edge (see photos).
This knife was purchased new in 2004, has never been used, carried or sharpened and is in very fine new old stock condition, with its original factory edge, all of its original finish and clear markings (see photos). The sheath is also in very fine condition, the box shows signs of storage wear (see photos). Hard to find a better example of this increasingly scarce Cold Steel bowie.
Asking price is $385, which includes shipping via USPS Ground Advantage anywhere in the continental US. Reasonable offers are welcome. I no longer use PayPal but payment may be made via Zelle, USPS money order or personal check as long as you're willing to wait for the check to clear before the item ships. First “I’ll take it” posted here has priority, please DM me with any questions or offers, thanks.
