*SOLD* From a Denver area estate....This hawk is almost identical to the iconic Norlund Frontiersman Tomahawk made By O.A. Norlund Company. The profile and dimension are the same which leads me to believe that this hawk was possibly made by the same company that produced the Norlund version. The head is good, old hi-carbon steel...The finish is different which is an old gun blue....The handle has been replaced with a repurposed hickory "boys" axe handle wedged with walnut....grain orientation is spot-on...The subtle "fawn's foot" handle adds the ability to index and retain during striking...Handle finish is "tried and true" to preserve. The front edge is sharp! The arrowhead poll has a false edge but the point is wicked....Overall length is 18", slightly longer than a traditional hawk but the added length increases head speed considerably.

New info...Thanks to BF member, this is probably a "Balanced Throwing Tomahawk" made in Italy.

The results: This is a light, quick tomahawk with the ability to strike and recover. A lot of the modern tacticals are just to heavy to wield....you will find this one different....No disappointments.
