*SOLD***This one came to me with head only in excellent shape...put it through the "spa" and added a seasoned hickory, hand-carved handle. The head is stamped "Italy". I believe the head is one of the 'Balanced Throwing' hawks made in the 70's. Although alloy is unknown, this is definitely high-carbon steel and the spark trail looks a lot like 440C. Handle has a wood burning, brass lined lanyard hole, short para loop and black leather abrasion collar. Overall length is 15 1/2". Head is 7" wide with a 2 1/4" cutting edge...head to shaft is friction with a padauk tension wedge. Handle indexes real nice in both directions...this is a light, quick, sharp tool.
