Steel: Aldo's W2 .125 thick
Scales: rag micarta
Pins: .187 carbon fiber
Epoxy: g-flex

The steel is Aldo's w2 with a hamon and a tapered tang.

The blade has been hand rubbed to 2000 grit prior to the etch, then polished several times.

Heat treat done in a temperature controlled kiln in house.

The rag micarta was a special find in a lot of supplies I bought from a retiring knifemaker.
This stuff is harder than woodpecker lips, feels great in the hand and has a very pungent smell when grinding.
I took the scales to 400 grit so it is still grippy, but also looks really nice.
It has an even better grip when the scales are wet.

The scales are also affixed with g-flex epoxy and carbon fiber pins.

Price: SOLD+ $10 shipping conus
Can make a kydex sheath for $25 if desired.

Feel free to pm me any questions you may have.
30 day return policy. If you don't like the knife for any reason, send it back for a full refund!

You scored finding some rag micarta , that is bringing a premium price these days . Nice blade you put it on .

that is sweet. perfect size as well. and the rag micarta sets it off! very nice work, sir.

I finally got the woodpecker lips knifeknife I've always wanted! Love that you went with thin stock, & tapered the tang, on such a substantial blade. Can't wait to see the scales in person - the CF pins & no lanyard hole are great choices as well IMO, & it's got a cool hamon too...it's almost too much goodness in one piece - thanks again brother!!
