This is a new handmade self-defense tool. The design is based on the yawara, an ancient Japanese fighting tool. Overall length is 6 7/8". The tool is made from 19th century cutlery steel, a German made butchers honing rod, and retains its original hardened and tempered heat treatment. It also retains its genuine patina showing age and use from its previous life. The tool steel is magnetic. Comes with a custom handmade wet formed leather slip sheath that is sewn with olive drab and yellow nylon thread. A little difficult to remove from the sheath but practice makes perfect.
