I ended up with two ZT 801's from pre-orders. Both are identical in F&F so I just picked one to photograph.

This knife is perfect by production standards. A typical "really good" Zero Tolerance. It has never been carried or outside of the house. In fact it may have been out of the box 4-5 times total for the standard initial inspection and re-inspection and of course the pictures I took just a couple days ago.

The pictures tell the whole story but the blade is dead centered, the lockup is early enough and the in person F&F is fantastic. She's almost too nice to carry but alas, she is a ZT and made to use ;) I don't know what that tiny light spec on the 6th picture down is just above the ZT etch. When I look at it close up I don't see anything so it may be a reflection at just the right angle in the right light. It wasn't lint. I just looked again after I placed this post and there isn't anything to my naked eye in normal light. It was only visible in that picture . . .

What the pictures don't show is that the flipper action is superb. Not too tight and not too loose. She pops open with just a little effort but she doesn't imply she may flip open on her own either.

This is a killer folder . . .
