Limited run of the famous 0350 from 2014 featuring textured carbon fiber scales and M390 blade steel, with a two-tone finish (stonewashed flats with satin grinds and swedge). Low serial number of #0023. The limited run totaled around 500 pieces.
I ordered a set of 3 custom satin titanium stand-off's to replace the cheap plastic backspacer used on this model. I carefully removed the front scale and de-assisted the knife and installed the stand-offs, finishing it off with a small drop of blue Loctite on the pivot screw once I dialed-in the perfect balance of easy-of-opening and tightness. The original backspacer is included, however, I have no clue what happened to the assisted spring. You can request one, free of charge, from KAI/ZT.
Condition: carried for a no more than a couple weeks in office dress pants and only used the knife to open your standard mail paper envelopes. The blade has seen no cardboard, food, or anything remotely abrasive. The blade is pristine and still has the original hair-popping edge from the factory. The only honest wear I can find on the knife is some very slight wear on the head of the pivot screw. I could request a replacement (again, free-of-charge from KAI/ZT) pivot and you couldn't tell the difference between this and a NIB model. The carbon fiber scales are flawless.
Mechanics: blade seating when closed is dead center. Crisp detent. Still flips open with the flipper tab and a quick snap of the wrist. I prefer manual-opening, which is why I de-assisted the knife. Lockup is early and there isn't a hint of blade-play in any direction. With the plastic backspacer gone, the loud THWACK sound the knife makes when you open it and the lock engages is very satisfying.
Box with matching serial number and original warranty paperwork included.
