This was suggested by FLymon and I thought it was brilliant so I'm going to give it a try.

From 6:00 AM Thursday (9/5/2013) until 6:00 AM Saturday (9/7/2013) (a total of 48 hours) the unsold knives will be listed as a "Gambler's Sale."

The price (on each knife) will drop $1 (per hour) until the knife sells (or 6:00 AM Saturday arrives)

The Gamble?

How long will you wait to buy it before someone else does.

The price drop starts at 6:00 AM Thursday and continues dropping $1 per hour until the knife sells or 6:00 AM Saturday arrives (whichever arrives first). After the clock hits 6:00 AM (Saturday) any unsold knives will be unavailable for purchase (I'll keep them).

The first "I'll take it" stops the clock (for that knife) and gets the knife at the price for that hour based on the bladeforums time stamp of the post.

Yes, I pay for shipping, etc... (excepting overseas shipping)

Example:

The JK Semi Wharncliff is listed at $110.00.

If someone were to post "I'll take the JK Wharncliff" at 11:55 AM on Friday, their discount would be $30.00 and they'd buy the knife for just $80.00.

Please see the chart below for the current discount, based on time and day.

I am listing 8 knives (by 3 different makers) up for sale.

The prices listed are inclusive - I cover shipping, insurance and paypal fees.

Non US buyers are welcome to buy, but may have to pay extra if the shipping costs are higher. Please contact me if this might apply to you.

I prefer paypal - please email me for my paypal address (click my user name and send me an email). I check my email frequently - far more frequently than I do the messages.

I will take USPS money orders as well - email me for my mailing address.

I will ship via USPS priority mail, with insurance and a signature confirmation. I do so in order to protect both ends of the transaction. I will ship the item the next business day (after payment is received).

As usual, the first person to post "I'll take it" gets the first chance to buy the knife.

Thanks for looking

AA Forge Bushwhacker - $280.00

OAL - 12"
Blade - 7"
Blade - 1 7/8" tall at tallest portion.
Hand forged 1084 @ 3/16"
Cocobolo handles with mosaic pins and a brass lanyard
Hand stitched leather sheath

This is the first of it's kind from Adam and a real work of art. It has seen some use (not much, but it has been used so I am declaring it used. I have not sharpened it - the edge is as it came from Adam. Please pay close attention to the pictures - evidence of the use (slight stains on the blade) is there. Other than the slight stains (which would probably buff out if you are inclined) this knife is perfect. This one would be a great user, or show piece.

Brand new, this knife (with sheath) runs about $355.00.

AA Forge Skinny Bushwhacker - $280.00 SOLD to Bmurray

OAL - about 12 & 1/4"
Blade - about 7 & 1/4"
3/16" 1084 hand forged
Cocobolo handles with brass pins and lanyard
Hand stitched drop-down sheath (with brass hardware)

I believe this one is also a first of it's kind from Adam. This one is unused, never been sharpened, as it came from the maker. It is a gorgeous knife and feels wonderful in the hand.

Brand new, this knife runs about $360.00 (with drop-down sheath)

AA Forge Trapper -$205.00 SOLD to Bmurray

Hand forged blade
1/8" inch (slightly thicker) 1084 (I think) or possibly 52100 (I didn't write down the specifics of this knife when I bought it).
Handle - about 4 & 1/2"
Blade - about 4 & 1/2"
Cocobolo handles with brass pins
Hand stitched, drop-down, sheath (with brass hardware)

This one is unused, never been sharpened, never cut a thing, as it arrived from Adam. It is a stunningly beautiful knife that would make a great addition to any collection - be it for use or looks only.

Brand new, this knife (with a basic sheath) runs about $260.00

Gray Wolf Nessmuck - $120.00 SOLD to - bobo_the_gnu

OAL - about 9"
Blade - about 4 & 1/2"
1/8" 1095 with a blued finish
I think the handles are probably Walnut, but I am not sure (I didn't write it down when I bought the knife)
Scandi grind
Leather sheath

This one is unused, never been sharpened, never cut a thing, as it came from Aaron. It is a very well done version of the popular Nessmuck knife. It would be a perfect choice for use in the woods, camping, around the yard, or even in the kitchen.

This model isn't listed on Gray Wolf's website. I believe I paid $145.00 for the knife and sheath.

JK Semi Wharncliff - $110.00

OAL - about 7 & 1/8"
Blade - about 3 & 3/8"
1/8" 01 steel
Green canvas micarta handles with brass pins
Excellent leather sheath

This one has seen quite a bit of use and I have sharpened it. The tip is rounded just a bit (when I first used my Worksharp to sharpen it) and there are some marks on the blade. Please look closely at the pictures.

This is a fantastic little knife; perfect for EDC (if you like to EDC a fixed blade). It feels absolutely wonderful in the hand and the blade/handle shape work to give the user great control.

Brand new, this knife (with sheath) lists for $165.00 on John's website.

Thanks for looking,

Mike

I suspect this "Gambler's Sale" might be confusing. Hopefully I can clear this up a bit with another example.

The JK Semi Wharncliff sells, new from the maker, for $165.00

The one for sale (here) is used and I listed it for $110.00

With the discount (at current time) that same used JK Semi Wharncliff can be purchased for $74.00 ($110 - $36.00 = $74.00)

Each remaining knife has the same discount (this hour the discount is $36.00 per knife)

That discount increases by $1.00 (per knife) per hour, until 6:00 AM tomorrow morning.

The first person to post "I'll take it" stops the clock for that knife only (and buys the knife for the discounted price).

I still pay the shipping, insurance and paypal fees - even with the discount (which is now quite steep).

Payment received from Bmurray and bobo_the_gnu

I will ship the knives out on Monday and will email you your tracking numbers once I have them.

Thank you.

Mike
