as Randy aka solosknifereviews likes to say, i have a nuked sage 1 up for grabs.

the mods were done by me and overall, i'm pleased with the results.

(knife was brand new before modifications).

basically, i removed the carbon fiber laminate, did some sanding, acid stonewashed the blade then sharpened.

the knife has a nice vintage/distressed look to it (which is what i was aiming for ultimately).

the handles show some very light blotchy markings from removing the CF but there's no way around that honestly. they're hardly noticeable, unless you are actually looking for them.

blade is nice and sharp, centered and everything locks up tight.

the stonewashed finish is even but loves finger prints which is typical.

original box included.

i didn't do this job with the intentions of selling the knife but life happens, so i'm selling it off.

What do you mean by you surprised the cf laminate?... Is it just liners? I'm interested but confused
 
not sure i totally understand your question but basically, i removed the CF laminate by sanding it off.

its a very thin layer and if carefully done it gets results.

i should mention that spydercos cf scales are just a thin layer of carbon fiber pressed on top of g10.

so now, it's not just liners its g10.

Oh, yeah I new of the g10 but just didn't think of it. I had a stupid/confused moment.
