This knife was made by forum member Big Chris. He called it a Bushcrafter. This knife is USED. Its been used around sand, water, dirt, lots of wood, animals, and day-to-day food. There are stains on the steel and a naturally forming patina. There are abrasions on the secondary bevel. Hey, use will do this to a knife. Im just being objectively descriptive and transparent so people understand that this knife exhibits wear and tear. This knife comes with the pictured leather sheath, made by the maker. All in all, this knife is in excellent condition. Asking $old.
FWIW, A note on the wear resistance and toughness of M4:
I wrote what I wrote, I used this knife in harsh conditions. Yet, look how few and topical the abrasions are on the secondary bevel. M4 is VERY wear resistant. M4 takes the finest edge of any steel Ive ever used. It will take time and work to reach a textbook apex, but when you get there, this stuff takes a screaming edge and holds it.
Specs:
steel = cpm M4, a hair over 3/32 plenty thick for this tough steel
oal = 9
blade length = 4-1/4 tip to scales
blade width = a hair over 1-5/16 spine to plunge
black canvas micarta scales
aluminum hardware
high sabre grind, for rigidity
