Both knives function fine. the 72 will rap the backspring if let snap shut and the 12 is a bit gritty and has some corrosion. Both are nice and sharp and have no blade wiggle. the 72 has fantastic W&T with strong pull the 12 has a 6 pull and Im guessing could be cleaned up to also have good walk and talk
