I don't want to speak for Charles, but it is black coated in a crinkle finish (is there a better word for this?), with an olive drab paracord wrapped tang. Note that Charles replied that it does have the three holes drilled in the tang, so a knifemaker could easily make and attach handles for you. Don't know what's up with pictures this morning.
