Really like the lacewood, one question, why the lower hardness, easier to sharpen, less likely to chip? Either way nice work that looks very useful. May have to have one for spring clean up.

Thank you! Good question, I had this batch heat treated several years ago and didn't know a whole lot about the specs I wanted so I went with there recommendation. I am hoping to make a few out of S35V next.

very nice. that hardness is good for 1095
