Selling three absolutely gorgeous Herb Derr Custom knives. I am original owner and these are from my pristine collection. Each blade is hand forged and made with over 2500 layers to create what he calls a birds eye damascus. Vine filing on the spine pushes these beauties into another level. The steel has been deeply etched and heat colored for a high contrast appearance. Damascus layers consist of L6 & 01 steels. Each knife comes with a right hand sheath as shown. *History Lesson - Stellers Sea Cow is an extinct, large sirenian mammal formerly found near the Asiatic coast off the Behring Sea. Discovered in 1741 in the commander Islands by German naturalist George Steller. By 1768 less than 30 years after it this mammal was discovered it became extinct due to it being slow, large and quite delicious.
