This is an early 1980s vintage Valor Golden Serpent made in Seki City.
Recently purchased from a collector. Prior owner was a martial artist who carried this. Blade has scratches from sharpening. Latch was removed and pin was replaced in the handle. Swings smoothly and easily, basically a gravity knife. No damage to edge or tip. Small amount of patina on brass handles. Well cared for overall. Very rare model too.
Spent $45 on a really nice clip slip sheath from Soulbound Leather for this, which is included. Can be clipped inside pocket or waistband.
This balisong is a straight up weapon. Not a toy. Sharp edge and very pointy tip. Can be drawn and opened in under a second. Probably the scariest balisong I've ever owned.
Asking only $85 shipped for this due to the sharpening scratches (lettering on blade still intact). I saw this same model sold for $185 on another website with heavy patina. In my 40 years of collecting I've never seen another.
