Clyde Challenor Customs Viper RT
RT means "Reverse Tanto".
This is a wonderful South African custom in full Titanium construction and an M390 hand rubbed blade. Has a ceramic detent and steel lockbar insert and runs on Clyde's handmade Ceramic bearings. Fit n' finish is great. Blade lays dead center when closed and locks up very solid with no play. Action is very perfectly dialed in for the front flip with thumb or index finger and can even be reversed flicked which feels great. I'd rate the detent as 6-6.5/10 firmness. It does not "drop shut" in the sense a shamwari does but it's instead a very controlled smooth closure that requires a few small shakes. Has an integral detent ramp on the blade and other subtle niceties in the machining process that shows Clyde's prowess in engineering. Knife has not been used or carried (other than around the house). There appears to be two small swirls in the handrub close to the pivot when closed (came to me this way). Everything else looks and feels perfect. Date of birth is March 1, 2023 and was a direct order through BladeGallery. Includes CoA, sticker, and zipper pouch.
