Andre De Villiers Knives Barlow Slipjoint Folding Knife
The Barlow is a slender slipjoint folder from Andre De Villiers with a very dagger-esque profile. The slim drop point blade has a long nail nick for easy opening and a half-stop safety for worry-free closing. It's a nice three-inch length which is the maximum allowable in many localities for both locking and non-locking blades, showing ADV knows exactly what he's doing. The handle is a smooth teardrop shape with a flared finger guard area leading to the blade that makes this knife very easy to index. It's made of bolstered stainless steel with green G10 handle scales and a brass shield inlay and pins. It feels rock-solid and the contouring allows it to slide in and out of the pocket with ease. You may even forget this is a slipjoint as it just feels so solid during use and doesn't look like your typical non-locking folder. The ADV Barlow is an impressive all-around knife and that's really all there is to it.Specifications: Blade Length: 3.00" - Cutting Edge: 2.75" - Closed Length: 3.80" - Overall Length: 6.80" - Blade Material: N690 Stainless Steel - Blade Thickness: 0.134" - Blade Style: Drop Point - Blade Grind: Flat - Blade Finish: Satin - Handle Material: Green G10 - Handle Thickness: 0.51" - Liner Material: Stainless Steel - Locking Mechanism: Slipjoint, Half-Stop - Pivot Assembly: Washers - Pocket Clip: None - Sheath Material: Nylon Pouch - Weight: 2.9 oz. - Brass Shield and Pins - Made in South Africa
