Here for SALE new/unused Fays Forge little fixed blade with horizontal carry belt sheath that I made.
This is a perfect little EDC fixed blade.
SPECS from the FAYS Forge Web Site
• bog oak is 6,000 years old
• carved antler
• folded steel blades of 1095 and 15n20
ALSO :
Blade Length - 2-5/8"
Overall Length - 7-1/8"
3/4" tall blade at the bolster and the handle is the butt is just over 1"
Sheathed length is 8"
Horizontal belt carry Sheath by me of 6/7 oz. Horween Veg Tan Dublin Leather with red leather cord weave.
This will carry either side or in the small of your back comfortably and very securely.
LAST TIME I posted I had not sharpened the blade. I was presenting it as "FROM THE MAKER". Someone balked at buying an unsharpened blade so I went ahead and sharpened it to my liking.
You might have noticed, in the photos above, that the blade is not sharpened. Came pretty harmless from the maker. I had chosen to leave it as is for the new owner to tweak as he/she preferred but have, after all, have been asked about this so I decided no harm to add a sharp edge.
Arm hair shaving sharp now and will slice nicely through phone book paper BUT my idea of "sharp" with this crowd in particular
can be subject to debate. It is more than serviceably sharp now and you can refine it to your obsessive delight if you feel it needs more attention.
