Greetings folks! I listed this knife last week and since then it's been brought to my attention that what I thought was a smudged etch is actually a bit of rust around the etch. I've had this knife for right around twenty years and it's always been there, never changed, so I'm thinking that it was maybe a result of something in the etching process. Nevertheless, in light of that I'm knocking $100 off the asking price. I'm relisting it here with the updates and the corrected price. The last photo shows the etch a bit clearer:

Original custom D'Holder drop point hunter up for sale. This is a full size knife measuring 8 3/4" OAL with a 3 3/4" blade measured from the tang shoulder at the start of the bevel. It's got two stunning Bruce Shaw guard engravings of elk busts, with his signature on the underside of one of the guards. The blade is mirror polished ATS-34 steel and is hollow ground. The tang is tapered toward the butt. Scales are Arizona desert ironwood burl with no chips or cracks. The knife is in mint condition with the exception of a few light scratches on the spine at the guard and the above mentioned spotting at the etch. I tried to show the scratches in the closeup photo but it's difficult to get them to show. The knife comes with the original sheath with oosic insert and the original zippered pouch. $750 PPF&F with Priority Mail shipping included.
First "I'll take it" gets it.20230528_161817.jpg20230528_161809.jpg20230528_161748.jpg20230528_161927.jpg20230528_161937.jpg20230528_161912.jpg20230528_162219.jpg20230528_162352.jpg20230528_162359.jpg20230602_160738.jpg
