This cleaver was my Grandmother's. I believe it to be from about the 1930's. It then came to my mother in the 1960's and I remember my family actually using it on occasion. It then sat in a drawer for 50 years. I rescued it because it just had that look but the handle was cracked and a lost cause. I had a local knife-maker install exotic hardwood scales with stainless/brass pins. It has been re-sharpened carefully to save the original patina. 8" blade, 14" OAL. I just have no practical use for it and no heirs so time to let someone else enjoy it.
