LARGE GAME HUNTER - TRAIL KNIFE - IRONWOOD & LAMINATED BIRCH
An Outstanding Knife. Beautiful Classic straight back blade design that has a very slight upsweep to the tip of the blade. Really High Figure Ironwood & Laminated Birch Combo, backed with Black Liners-Spacers. 3 brass pins & Brass lined rear lanyard hole with soft leather lace. An excellent design for large game hunting, camp and trail work. Fire making, camp. Pattern aged blade. Blade is about 1 5/16" wide at widest point. Spine/tang about 1/8" thick & sharp enough for ferro rod use. Handle is about 4 7/16". Blade is about 4 7/16"convex ground. Overall about 8 15/16". Handcrafted, antiqued leather belt sheath . Will fit a belt up to 2 1/4" wide. Sheath is signed and dated on backside. Unfamiliar with Laminated Birch? This handle material is called dymalux. DymaLux is resin-infused birch laminated composed of High grade Birch veneers that are dyed into beautiful colors. Very durable and very nice. Ironwood is very tough dense wood & this section is super figured with a nice Burl.
