WARRANTY VOID
WARRANTY VOIDI purchased this SnG from the Strider group on Facebook. When I purchased it, it was a blade swap. Because of this, the warranty is void. And also because of this, it had a lot of play. I sent the knife to Sean Campbell to fix and he did the following:
-Blasted and tumbled the lock side and clip
-New pivot
-Larger stop pins
-Carb’d the lock face on the blade
-Carb’d the lock bar and pinged it
-Polished washers
-Black oxide on blade
-Sharpened blade and zero grind on tip
The knife is rock solid now and has zero play. Functionally it is perfect and aesthetically nearly perfect. It currently has trit screws in (came with the knife) but I have stock screws as well.
I am $800 into the knife and another $200 for the work Sean did to fix it up. I would like to get my money back out of it. I am only selling it to help offset the cost of the supplies my wife needs as she is heading to the forest ranger academy for the NYS DEC in 3 weeks.
So, asking price is $old or best offer. I realize that this might be on the high side for a warranty void knife, but the work to fix it is already done and it will be good for a long time to come. Don’t be afraid to make an offer, as I said this is all going toward what my wife needs for this paramilitary academy. Please feel free to ask any questions, thank you
