This is a hawk made from a good quaility rasp, folded over and welded. This style makes a good throwing axe if you like to throw hawks. Upswept heel and downswept toe. Appx 3" cutting edge. Edge hardened and tempered. It has a ash haft, lightly burned, stained and finisihed with boiled linseed oil. Sheath is made from 9oz leather and stamped for a little decoration. We are asking **SOLD** plus $10 shipping for this hawk..Our paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
The last pic is this hawk in the forge just for fun.

Thanks guys, I carry one just like this myself around the farm. Running the fence line and stuff like that. Chops really good and fun to throw.

I'll take it Kentucky. PP on the way. So you use a coal fired forge? Very nice. I have thought about it, but hard to get coal around these parts. Charcoal just doesn't butn long enough.

Thanks, it will ship in the morning..Yes we use coal(we have a gasser too but the coal forge does the main work)..Here in eastern, Ky its pretty abundent ;) Since we'er in the heart of coal country we can buy it for about $100 a ton..

well it adds to the mystique of your hawks. This is my second one by you and they have a special look and feel to them. Thanks again.

Thanks we appreciate that, I feel it adds something unique. No electric, no machinery, just hands and hammer..Something just feels right about the coal forge. When you crank that ol' blower and the center of that firepot turns white I smile everytime!

Got the hawk today. Hopefully I'll make to the ranch this weekend and give it a workout. It is nice and light and I can't wait to do some throwing. If you don't mind I would like to contact you via email and ask a few questions about the coal fired forge.
