This hawk is forged from some very old(150years + that I know of), knarly, striated wrought iron. Wrap&weld construction with a piece of file steel for the bit. Just the way they use to be made. You can still see the file teeth in the weld up close. It has a star motif piercing and some fileowrk on the spine.etched to show the grain. The head is 5 5/8" long and the cutting edge is 3 1/2" wide. Edge hardened and tempered. The haft is curly maple, stained with aqua fortis and finished with boiled linseed oil. Decorated with tacks and sinew. It does not come with a sheath but we will make a sheath or forge a pair of wall hooks to hang it on for an additional $15 if the buyer chooses..We are asking **SOLD* plus $10 shipping for this hawk. Our paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
