i just received this knife brand new and there seems to be a slight cosmetic flaw.
on the inside of the liners in the front there's a pair of very noticeable nicks. one is on the top and the other on the bottom.

is this normal on the para 2?

There's a nick on the liner of my Para 2 carbon fiver s90v sprint. I'd say you're ok.
 
so far it's sounding fairly normal but i def would like to gather input from as many ppl as possible.

I hate to see you so upset about your new knife. Sell it to me. You'll feel much better. :D
 
normal....and it took a good amount of time to get the lock to start loosening up. it took so much pressure to release it at first
 
As already stated above. Mine also has the same "nicks". My lock was also a bear to disengage at first. So much so that I almost sent it in. The trick is to cycle it a couple thousand (literally) times while watching TV or something.

What exactly is the big deal about? Seriously, there are some tool marks inside the liners and you are freaking out? Come on...:rolleyes:
It would appear that this is just not the knife for you.
