im curious:d, how many hours do you put in the shop per day? Per week? On average...

Dan

well ,lets put it this way,i dont have any fancy water jets, mills ect,i have 2 grinders, and i stock remove, there is one set up for s/r and one set up for grinding, i can have atleast 6 blades ,stock removed, normalized 4 times each, flat ground, quenched and in the temper oven in about 3 hrs or so,i free hand grind no jigs or ect, doing the handles ,filework ect takes me an hour tops, you see my fit and finnish, you dont get any punk junk here, aswell there razor sharp and last,i have living proof from another b.f member that visited for the weekend, chris you wanna speak out? Thanks bill

Ok, He has a good setup where everything is stationed where it needs to be. He uses the Bader to profile and the Grizzly to grind. He grinds HARD! I swear Ive never seen a shower of sparks fly like that, its like he is using a cutoff wheel. I saw him cutout, profile, normalize, and grind three blades and it took maybe two hours with most of that at the forge. After that its to his handle shop. He has everything right close together so he can move from the glueing station to the bandsaw to the belt sanders and vice. He can do a handle in no time. It was fun to see

Great knife Bill, Im suprised its still avialable!! Those rosewood burl handles are hard to come by-well you can find them but the high quality stuff is scarce and can be expensive. Awesome--Thanks-Marekz

Thanks Bill and Chris for the detailed explanation. Makes sense why you are so productive. Keep them sparks flying Bill! :D

Respect! I think it takes me as long to post up a knife for sale as it does for you to make one. Keep up the good work!
