This is one of the GB's from the initial run. These have the solid liners and said to have harder M4 than the models available in stores now. I don't know if that's true or not, but I've always prefered these over the skeletonized version for whatever reason. I took a small amount of liner and scale off the non locking side of the handle in order to make the lock more comfortable to use. I think this makes a world of difference when unlocking the knife. This is a perfect example of this model, with no issues of any kind. Carried a small amount and lightly used. No sign of either to my eyes. Comes with original box, dated january of 2010 and paperwork. It has the texas stamp.

Could you explain and/or show a bit more about your mod? Thanks.

Sure. The scales and liners on both sides of the knife are the same size and shape. Normally on linerlocks the non lock side has a groove or notch cut into it. This allows you to comfortably push the lockbar over, unlocking the knife. One of the major complaints about the GB is the lack of one of these grooves. The scales being flush forces the user to try to move that lockbar over without being able to do so from its side. You have to sort of wedge your thumb in and force it over. I find it annoying, so I made the groove.

Here are 2 side by side. One with the finger groove added. Neither of these are the knife for sale in the thread.

Here is another old pic of the same two GB's. The one for sale in this thread has a more subtle groove than the one pictured here, but this shows the liner and scale removal better. I've done close to a dozen of these little mods for myself and others.
